Shadowed by the impressive and iconic Matterhorn, race sponsor and Skyrunner® World Series sponsor, SCOTT Sports lined up two world class runners; Italian, Elisa Desco and American, Ryan Bak to go head-to-head against some of the worlds best mountain runners in the Swiss town of Zermatt at the 2^nd running of Matterhorn Ultraks 46K.

Shadowed by the impressive and iconic Matterhorn, race sponsor and Skyrunner® World Series sponsor, SCOTT Sports lined up two world class runners; Italian, Elisa Desco and American, Ryan Bak to go head-to-head against some of the worlds best mountain runners in the Swiss town of Zermatt at the 2^nd running of Matterhorn Ultraks 46K.

Following recent success in Chamonix over the Sky distance and being crowned Skyrunning World Champion, Desco once again proved that she is currently one of the top female mountain runners in the world placing 2^nd after a hard fought battle with race winner, Stevie Kremer.

Desco continues to go from strength-to-strength in her first year competing in the Skyrunner® World Series. The next objective for the SCOTT star will be Limone Extreme in October.

Fast man and 2:14 marathon runner, Ryan Bak, dipped his toes onto the trails of the Skyrunner® World Series and in the early stages excelled as he traded blows with the overall top three runners. However, the relentless climbing and technical aspects of the Ultraks course caused Bak to slip places and finish a very creditable 14^th.

SCOTT Running continue to impress as they develop new shoes and apparel that fulfil the demands of the discerning runner who likes to travel fast and light over tough and technical terrain.

Attention will now turn to the iconic Trofeo Kima in Italy. This jewel in the Skyrunning crown which takes place on Sunday August 31^st. SCOTT Running will have representation from Brit, Stuart Air.
