Elisa Desco takes 2nd at Matterhorn Ultraks |
Skyrunning World Champion and COMPRESSPORT® athlete, Italian Elisa Desco continued her good form on the trails and mountains in and around Zermatt at the second edition of the Matterhorn Ultraks 46K. Lining up against a world-class ladies field, Desco used her skill and experience to push hard throughout the race as the dominating Matterhorn looked down as if it were a spectator on proceedings. The fourth race in the Skyrunner® World Series, Ultraks provided a great showcase for the sport of Skyrunning and compression brand leader and Skyrunning partner, COMPRESSPORT®. Desco, competing in her inaugural year on the Skyrunner® World Series took the race to the competition, pushing hard from the off, obviously boosted by her recent success at Zegama-Aizkorri and in Chamonix at the Skyrunning World Championships. The efforts paid off and Desco placed 2nd behind an in form Stevie Kremer. From Nepal, Phudorjee Lama Sherpa, in Europe for the Skyrunning World Championships and participating in the Skyrunner® World Series, struggled with the strong competition but finished a creditable 28th in the stacked men’s field. Desco continues to go from strength-to-strength and the COMPRESSPORT®.athlete will be looking to take top honours on home ground the finals in Italy come October at Limone Extreme. COMPRESSPORT® have been providing clinical compression to runners all over the world and have countless world titles. Desco achieved the most recent title on the trails of Chamonix earlier this year using the Fluo Arm Force sleeves and the R2 Calf Sleeves. |
